Submission Guidelines
- Posts should be between 500–3,000 words.
- If you have citations, please ensure that you follow ASA citation guidelines, including in-text parenthetical citations (Goffman 1959) and full citations in a “Works Cited” sub-section at the end. References to other types of sources may be hyperlinked directly into the text.
- Please disclose the use of AI and related technologies for generative purposes, including assistance with literature review or compilation of relevant sources, translation of materials as part of the research process, assistance in research data visualization, generation of representative illustrations or infographics, and/or assistance with compilation of references. Your submission will be rejected if you use GenAI to create the submission using a prompt. You do not need to disclose AI-assisted writing to improve language, grammar, or structure.
- If you have them, please share graphics (one to five) that we can use to accompany the text. Please send these as separate image files rather than embedded in the text of your submission. Please ensure that you own the rights to these graphics. Graphics licensed under Creative Commons may also be acceptable, but please specify this in your submission.
- Please share a short biography that we can publish at the end of the piece.
We welcome submissions, pitches, or inquiries to theorizingourtimes@gmail.com.
